Drowning

Evening storms
Blue lightning that blinds
Thunder that cracks, shatters, and shakes
Cold winds that silence the flames of the candles
We fall into bed and swim between wine colored sheets
With hungry kisses
Clothes are shed and lay scattered on the floor
Rain begins to fall hard upon the roof
Hands begin to wander and search
Kisses and lips linger and stray
Flesh and skin melts under hot tongues
Voices rise above the thunder
Ecstasy washes over us in waves
Seizing the senses
Numbing the limbs
Feeding our desires
Drowning in this Passion
Together we lie, weak in the wake of this flood
